Holiday Inn Express opens on Merseyside as part of £5.5m redevelopment scheme
A 56-bedroom Holiday Inn Express has opened today on Merseyside as part of a £5.5m redevelopment scheme by Sanguine Hospitality.
The Holiday Inn Express Liverpool-Hoylake opened in Hoylake, Wirral, on the site of the former Kings Gap Court hotel.
Facilities include a Marco Pierre White Frankie's New York Italian restaurant, a collaboration between White and champion jockey Frankie Dettori.
The 155-seater eaterie will offer an Italian-American influenced menu, and will specialise in fresh pastas, steaks, seafood, burgers and handmade pizzas
Robin Wicks, chief executive of Sanguine Hospitality, which owns and operates the hotel through an agreement with InterContinental Hotels, said: "The success of the hotel will be determined by our ability to establish it as a viable alternative for tourists and business travellers visiting Liverpool.
"We hope to shine a light on Hoylake's many qualities and reap the rewards for the hotel, restaurant and the village as a whole."
Located close to many of the North-weest's leading golf courses, the hotel is already fully booked for the Open at Royal Liverpool Golf Club in 2014 and the 2012 Women's Open.
