Hospitality steps forward to support victims of Grenfell Tower fire

The hospitality industry is supporting victims of the Grenfell Tower fire, including one Hilton Park Lane employee and his young family.

A crowdfunding page on JustGiving has been set up for Hilton team member Wesley and his young family following the loss of their home in the early hours of this morning when a fire ripped through the 24-storey apartment block in west London. The number of confirmed dead is 12, while 75 people are being treated in hospital following the incident.

His family are unharmed and more than £4,700 has already been raised to help them rebuild their lives. Any hospitality employees affected are being urged to contact Hospitality Action.

Here is the page to help my very kind and sweet colleague Wesley

Chef-patron of Tredwell's and group operations director Chantelle Nicholson tweeted earlier today saying they would be accepting donations of clothes, toiletries and toys and transporting them to St Clements Church in W11 tomorrow (15 June) and Friday evening (16 June), which is collecting donations for Grenfell Tower residents.

If you can't get over to W11 we'll be doing drops tomorrow & Friday pm - collections welcome &

Jamie Oliver has also invited those affected for free food, drink and shelter in his Jamie's Italian restaurant in Westfield Shepherd's Bush.
