Hotel 41 has best online reputation in London
The Red Carnation Hotel Collection's Hotel 41 has topped a poll of the 10 London properties with the best online reputations.
The Haymarket, owned by Firmdale Hotels, and Corinthia London were in second and third places respectively in a list of the highest-rated hotels in the capital, according to guest reviews placed on more than 100 online review and travel agency sites.
Red Carnation performed particularly well, securing three positions in the top 10, with the Egerton at number five and the Milestone at number six, alongside Hotel 41 in the top spot.
The ranking was drawn up by online reputation management company ReviewPro after it analysed more than 375,000 reviews across 599 hotels in London, over the past 12 months.
RJ Friedlander, chief executive and co-founder of ReviewPro, said that by analysing the language used by guests in reviews, hoteliers could use the information to help them "improve performance in all areas" of their businesses.
"Online reputation directly impacts revenue by influencing key performance measures such as pricing, occupancy rates and revpar," he explained. "The London hotels that understand this will be able to respond competitively to the evolving demands of their customers."
Suzie Wotton, vice-president of marketing at Red Carnation, said that the company, which has six London hotels, worked with ReviewPro to keep in touch with what was being said about its properties online.
"This ensures we receive customer feedback instantly, can respond to our customers quickly and make informed decisions on how to improve the quality of our guest experience."
