Hotel deputy manager admits defrauding his bosses

The deputy manager at a Haverhill hotel yesterday pleaded guilty to defrauding his employers out of £5,000.

Now Taro Rawles, 41, of Vetch Walk, Haverhill, who admitted fraud by abuse of trust at the Days Inn Hotel, Haverhill, must wait until next month to hear his fate. Sentencing was adjourned by Judge Anthony Goldstaub QC at Chelmsford Crown Court until 5 August. Rawles was remanded on bail.

Mark Lakin, prosecuting, told the court Rawles obtained £5,051.57 involving 25 transactions using card payment facilities to credit refunds onto his card.
