Hotelympia launches interior design award

Hotelympia is to reintroduce the Design Award, which recognises the UK's best new hotel interior.

In 2012 the exhibition crowned the UK's most luxurious hotel suite, with the English Royal Suite in London's Mandarin Hotel taking the spoils. At the 2014 show (which will be held at ExCeL from 28 April to 1 May) the focus will be on hotel interiors at new builds or rebranded and refurbished hotels.

Other judges on the panel include Steve LaBouchardiere, co-founder of designLSM, Scott Brownrigg director Una Barac, Fox Linton Associates director Dennis Irvine and Jan Wilson, managing director of RPW Design, the company behind 2012's winning suite.

The three finalists whittled down by the judges will feature on a display wall at the Design Stage throughout the four-day show.

The closing date for entries is 31 January 2014. Entry forms can be downloaded at www.hotelympia.com/designaward
