Hoxton hotel to donate April Fool's Day takings to charity

15 February 2010 by

The 205-bedroom Hoxton hotel, London, is to donate all the proceeds from its occupancy on 1 April to the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Three rates are to be offered from 22 February: £99 (feeling generous), £149 (feeling more generous) and £199 (GOSH what have I done).

The hotel hopes to generate more than £25,000 for the hospital, which is currently raising money for a new kidney centre.

"GOSH is a stones throw from The Hoxton and David Taylor, the general manager and his team, are thrilled to help their neighbours in a small but important way," said Sinclair Beecham, owner of the hotel.

"There are 205 people out there who won't be fools on 1 April. Please be one."
