Iain Inman appointed executive chef of the Social at Thistle's the Parc in Cardiff
Iain Inman has been appointed executive chef of the Social restaurant at Thistle Hotels' the Parc in Cardiff.
Previously head chef of the Brasserie restaurant, Ascot Bar & room service at Pennyhill Park hotel in Surrey, Inman replaces Martin Blunos, who headed the restaurant when it was known as the Crown Social and operated by Crown Hotels and Restaurants (CHR).
The outlet was rebranded to the Social after the partnership with CHR came to an abrupt end in August after only five months.
Inman intends to place the Social on the gourmet dining map by sourcing high-quality produce from the region. His menu offers Welsh dishes with a contemporary twist including grilled rib Usk Valley beef with Double Dragon Ale sauce and lemon grass panna cotta and green tea sorbet
Darren Patt, regional operations director, Thistle Hotels, said the company was delighted to have appointed Inman as executive chef at the Social. "The Parc has built up a fantastic reputation as a great dining destination in Cardiff, with the Social being recently awarded two prestigious AA rosettes. We will continue this run of success with the appointment of Iain, ensuring that the Social continues to top the league of must-visit restaurants in the area."
