IHG's Holiday Inn to operate Dominvs Manchester hotel

Dominvs Hospitality has named InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) brand Holiday Inn as the operator of it its forthcoming 306-bedroom hotel in Manchester.

The company, part of the Dominvs Group, also announced Dexter Moren & Associates as its interior designer and style consultants and McAleer Rushe as its building contractor on the project, which got the green light last month.

Preet Ahluwalia, Director of Dominvs Hospitality, commented: "We are excited at the prospect of bringing the renowned IHG brand to our Manchester project.

"The project will take 18 months to be completed, during this course we will be creating 150 jobs, adding £17m to the economy and revitalising the hospitality perception as a whole."

The hotel site will feature a restaurant and conference facilities, in a site within the recently completed 250,000 sq ft mixed use Piccadilly Regeneration Project.

Martin Magee, construction director at McAleer & Rushe, said the site that had been vacant for nearly 20 years was in desperate need of regeneration.

"Work will begin on-site imminently as there already has been a lot of detailed early-stage design input which will ensure best practice and best value construction, which leads to optimum efficiency in operation thereafter," he added.
