Industry heavyweights to speak at UKHospitality conference

The chief executives of Casual Dining Group, Travelodge and Deltic have been confirmed for the Leaders' Perspective panel at UKHospitality's forthcoming Shaping the Future conference.

Steve Richards (CDG), Peter Gowers (Travelodge) and Peter Marks (Deltic) will come together at the event to discuss the current trading environment for British hospitality businesses from the perspective of their respective firms.

The panel discussion will reflect a wider programme designed to look at how the hospitality industry will position itself with government and reinforce its contribution to the social and economic wellbeing of the UK.

The conference will feature 50 speakers from hospitality organisations including Yo! Sushi, InterContinental Hotels Group, Be At One and TripAdvisor, as well as government representatives.

Commenting on the event, UKHospitality chief executive, Kate Nicholls, said: "Building on the success of the British Hospitality Association's Hospitality and Tourism Summit and the ALMR's Spring Conference, this event will amalgamate the best and most timely discussions from the accommodation, food service, leisure, pubs and bars sectors and dissect what the future has in store for our sector.

"We have a dynamic lineup of topics and speakers who will provide specialist high level insight on their key areas. As UKHospitality's first industry-wide event it will be the perfect setting for us to detail our plans on how we will champion the interests of the UK's hospitality businesses and bolster our influence within government to make hospitality a policy priority and ensure a prosperous future for our industry."

Shaping the Future will be held on 9 July and hosted by Principal Hotel Company at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London.

Tickets are available to book at www.shapingthefuture.org.uk.
