Innside Manchester set for May opening

Meliá hotels has revealed further details about its Innside hotel in Manchester.

Set to open in May, the 208 room hotel is billed as a design-led business hotel which blurs the boundaries between business and lifestyle.

It will be in the centre of Manchester's First Street development, overlooking Home, the city's international centre for contemporary visual art, theatre and film.

Innside Manchester will include Street on First, a restaurant and bar offering street food dishes from around the world. It will be a space that encourages socialising, with food designed for sharing.

Of the hotel's 208 rooms, eight will be suites. Prices will start at £99.

General manager Adam Munday said: "The site is looking great and all is on track for its opening in early May. The First Street Development is the perfect location for the brand's first UK hotel and we're looking forward to working alongside Home to create memorable experiences for our guests."

Meliá Hotels International's chief executive and vice-chairman, Gabriel Escarrer, added: "The new cultural outlook for Manchester is an ideal framework for the growth of Innside by Meliá, a brand which originated in Germany and which enjoys a fantastic reputation among our customers.

"We aim to bring Innside to a number of key cities in Europe and across the world in the next few years."
