Film director Francis Ford Coppola, who already has hotels in Belize, Guatemala and Argentina, has created a hotel within a 19th century palazzo in the hilltop town of Bernalda - once the home of his grandfather, Agostino Coppola - in the Basilicata region of Southern Italy. He and his family have worked with the designer in contributing personal details to individual rooms to create the feel of visiting a private home.
