Inverary's oldest hotel sold

The Fernpoint Hotel in Inverary, Argyllshire, has been sold through agents Christie & Co.

The three-star property, built as a private house in 1748, is thought to be the town's oldest building.

It has eight letting bedrooms, a lounge bar, dining room and beer garden.

The hotel was on the market looking for offers in excess of £425,000 and was purchased by Jean Liddy and Robert Clark from Darlington.
