Jarvis Hotels poaches new commercial director from Hilton

Rosemarie Shrill has joined Jarvis Hotels as commercial director from Hilton.

Her arrival is the first new senior appointment by the group's newly installed boss, Steve Hebborn.

Shrill was vice-president of business development at Hilton International with responsibility for the group's UK sales and revenue functions. Before this she worked for Stakis Hotels and was also worldwide sales director at Copthorne Hotels.

Her new role will involve overseeing sales, marketing and distribution at the 40-plus strong chain as it seeks to grow company profit 13% over the next year.

Hebborn was promoted from finance director to chief executive in January to replace Richard Thomason.

Thomason had conducted a management buyout of the company with John Jarvis in 2003, returning it to private ownership.
