Jolanta Vasiliauskiene of Brown's hotel named AA Housekeeper of the Year
Consistent high-quality standards and attention to detail has scooped Jolanta Vasiliauskiene of Rocco Forte Brown's hotel, London, the AA Housekeeper of the Year 2012 title.
The judges were impressed by Vasiliauskiene's commitment to promoting housekeeping as a career and her dedication in ensuring that her team of over 44 staff are happy and motivated.
Vasiliauskiene, who received the annual award at a lunch held at St James' hotel, London, has been at Brown's hotel since 2006 and became head housekeeper in 2010.
The two runner-up awards were presented to Sandra Dean of the Casa hotel, Chesterfield, and Regina Zemaitiene of the Macdonald Bath Spa hotel, Bath
Simon Numphud, AA hotel services manager and one of the judges, said he was delighted that Vasiliauskiene had triumphed in the awards. "Housekeeping is such a key element to the whole hotel experience and Jolanta has displayed just how hotels can go above and beyond for their guests," he explained.
The AA Housekeeper of the Year award, sponsored by Northmace & Hendon, aims to identifying a housekeeper who goes above and beyond the call of duty, as well as recognising outstanding commitment and performance.
