Jurys Inn Islington transformed into a Doubletree by Hilton

Located 300m from the Angel tube station, the 229-bedroom hotel will operate under a franchise agreement with Jurys Inn following the announcement in November that three Jurys Inn properties in London would be rebranded under as Hilton Worlwide hotels.

Jurys Inn Chelsea was rebranded to a Doubletree by Hilton hotel in May, while the group's Heathrow property will become the Hilton Garden Inn in December.

The Islington hotel marks the 10th property for Doubletree in London and incorporates the brand's 10,000th room in Europe. Hilton Worldwide introduced the Doubletree brand to the UK in 2007, since when it has grown to nearly 25 hotels.

An extension to the hotel, which will open on 1 October, will add a further 143 bedrooms to the hotel, creating a total of 372 bedrooms. The refurbishment has also resulted in the addition of a gin bar Bar60, alongside the Grill all-dining restaurant, and a new executive lounge and 24-hour fitness suite.
