French hotel group Accor has appointed Karelle Lamouche (pictured) to the newly created role of chief commercial officer (CCO) for Europe.

In her new role, Lamouche will drive Accor's business revenue strategy across Europe, with a view to create "a more holistic, integrated and customer-centred approach" across all 36 Accor brands.
Lamouche said Accor was committed to "continued responsiveness, vision and dynamism" in delivering the best guest experience.
Franck Gervais, chief executive, Accor Europe, added: "Karelle will develop the strategy for all of Europe, leading and implementing an innovative approach to identify new commercial opportunities and harness the existing brand, sales, revenue and customer channels."
