Kew Green secures management agreement of Holiday Inn in Derby

The addition of the Holiday Inn Derby - Riverlights will take Kew Green's portfolio of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) brand up to 41 hotels.

The new deal comes four months after Kew Green was acquired by Chinese group HK CTS Hotels Co for around £400m.

Paul Johnson, chief executive of Kew Green Hotels, said: "This new agreement underlines our new shareholders appetite to continue to grow our portfolio of managed hotels throughout the UK."

Kew Green Hotels now operate 55 hotels across the UK under five brands: Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza, Ibis Styles and Courtyard by Marriott.

From early 2016 the company will also work with Hilton Worldwide with the opening of a new Hampton by Hilton hotel. Kew Green Hotels also operates the Grand in Brighton and Richmond Hill hotel in south west London.
