Tim and Elizabeth Blagborough have moved from the Lake District to run their newly-acquired Park hotel in the Gloucestershire village of Falfield.

The hotel, which is near Wotton-under-Edge, is sited on the A38 road a mile from Junction 14 of the M5 motorway and is within easy reach of Bristol, Gloucester and the Cotswolds.

It's a two-storey building with a detached two-storey annexe that offers 18 en-suite bedrooms, a lounge bar, a 32-seat restaurant, and three meeting rooms that can accommodate between 12 and 80 seats.

The meeting rooms, along with the summer house in the four-acre gardens, are licensed for civil weddings.

The property also provides a self-contained. two-bedroom owners' apartment

The Bristol office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off an asking price of £795,000 on behalf of Ralph Holbrook, who is resuming his former career as a piano tuner.
