Lancaster London to open ‘Senses Room' to allow public to go ‘behind-the-scenes' at a banquet
Banqueting hotel Lancaster London is set to open a chef's table inside its newly-renovated kitchens to allow members of the public a behind-the-scenes look at what happens during a banquet.
The Senses Room can seat up to 12 guests, who can book a three-course meal, overseen by executive chef Stephen Rey, for any evening a banquet is set to take place. Costing £125 per person, the event will also include a tour of the kitchen.
Separated from the large kitchen by glass screens, the room can also be set up to mimic the experience of eating in the banqueting halls, with the same colour scheme, décor, lighting and music.
From their vantage point on to the kitchens, guests to Senses Room will have the chance to see up to 100 staff be briefed prior to a banqueting event, and will also have the chance to ask questions after service has finished.
One of Britain's leading banqueting hotels, the 416-roomed Lancaster London can cater for up to 1,000 diners simultaneously, and reception events for up to 3,000.
