Landmark London GM Francis Green announces retirement

Francis Green, general manager at the Landmark hotel in London, has announced his retirement after 18 years in charge at the luxury property.

Green, who is widely regarded as one of London's top hotel managers, has been a member of the Landmark Group for 20 years and his hospitality career spans more than 45 years.

Prior to playing an integral part of the Landmark's opening team in 1995, Green spent five years as manager of the Royal Lancaster hotel (now the Lancaster London) and most of the 1980s as conference and banqueting manager at Grosvenor House, Park Lane.

Commenting on his announcement, Green said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed the time I have spent at The Landmark London and feel privileged to have seen the hotel go from strength to strength, working alongside its outstanding team whom I wish well for the future, and look forward to watching their continued success."

Green is a Master Innholder and a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, as well as an Honorary Professor of the University of West London.
