Langham London appoints Paul Walters as general manager
The five-star, 380-bedroom Langham London hotel has appointed Paul Walters as its new general manager.
Walters, 47, was previously based in Hong Kong as vice-president at the head office of the Langham Hospitality Group. Since 2007, he has been responsible for a portfolio of three brands - the luxury Langham brand, the contemporary five-star Langham Place brand and the midscale Eaton brand.
His previous appointments include general manager positions at W Sydney, where he was responsible for establishing the first W hotel outside of the US; the Serai, Bali; the Chedi Ubud; the Chedi Manggis and the Careyes, Mexico.
"We are delighted to welcome to London a general manager with the experience that Paul has," said Katie Benson, regional vice president - Europe and North America of the Langham Hospitality Group. "During his time with the company in Hong Kong, he has gained invaluable knowledge in the ethos of our brand and we look forward to building on the already enviable reputation of the Langham flagship property with Paul at the helm."
