Legacy Hotels adds two Surrey properties to burgeoning portfolio
Legacy Hotels and Resorts has added two Surrey hotels to its growing portfolio of managed properties.
The company is taking over the operation of the 96-bedroom Ramada Farnham and 87-bedroom Ramada Guildford/Leatherhead hotels, which will both continue to be branded as Ramada properties for at least the next three months. A decision will shortly be made on the hotels' future brand positioning.
Both hotels have just been bought out of administration by Surya Hotels, following on from the announcement earlier this month that Legacy had been appointed to take over the management of Surya's four hotels in East Anglia.
Andy Townsend, chief executive officer of Legacy Hotels and Resorts, said there are plans to invest in both properties in the coming months.
"Both hotels are within easy reach of the M3, M4 and M25 corridors which makes them ideal locations for corporate and commercial business," he said.
"It is difficult for any business to operate whilst in administration and it is therefore welcoming to be able to lift the uncertainty from these hotels and start about mapping out new and concise plans for their futures with the hotel teams."
Legacy Hotels and Resorts now operate 21 hotels across the UK.
