Lester Hotels has bought the Best Western Leicester Stage hotel off a guide price of £6m.

The three-star, purpose-built property is located in the suburbs to the south of Leicester and is near attractions such as the National Space Centre, Belvoir Castle and Bosworth Battlefield

It also operates the Stage Health and Leisure Club, which has a heated indoor pool,
gymnasium, whirpool spa and Turkish steam room

Lester Hotels, which also owns the Royal County hotel in Reading and the Comfort hotel in Finchley, North London, plans to add several similar hotels to its portfolio over the next 12 months.

The Nottingham office of Christie + Co handled the sale for the vendor, Acelodge.
