Local entrepreneur David Eaton has bought the White Hart hotel, which lies on the main street in the centre of Campbeltown, Argyll.
Campbeltown is on the southern end of the Mull of Kintyre, close to the world-famous Machrahanish golf course.
Facilities at the traditional town house hotel include 19 en-suite bedrooms to sleep 33, a public bar and games room, and a lounge bar with interconnecting lounge and two inner conservatory dining areas.
The first floor holds the 50-seat hotel dining room, a residents' lounge linked to a function bar and a 50-capicity function/meeting room.
Attracting a wide range of local, business and tourist trade, the hotel achieved a net turnover of £398,965 in the year to 31 August 2008, of which food accounted for 36%, followed by beverages (35%) and accommodation (26%),
For the past few years, the White Hart has been run under management by Oxford Hotel, which now also operates most of the ex-Swallow portfolio.
The Glasgow office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold guide price of £395,000 in a two-phase transaction. This allows Eaton to take over the hotel straight away and to complete the sale within 24 months.
