London couple buy Great Yarmouth guest house

London couple Alan and Serena Salt have made their first hotel purchase in the form of the Kingsley House hotel in the Heritage Quarter of Great Yarmouth in Norfolk.

The hotel, a former merchant's house which dates back to 1753, has a prime location in King Street where it is near the town centre, the beach, the Wellington Pier and the Golden Mile's assortment of amusement arcades, restaurants and bars.

It offers seven en-suite bedrooms, a14-seat restaurant and 16-seat bar, a courtyard garden, and one-bedroom owners' accommodation.

The guest house, which trades all year round, has a three-diamond rating from the English Tourist Council.

The Ipswich office Christie + Co sold the leasehold off a guide price of £195,000 on behalf of Alison Savoury.
