London Elizabeth hotel on the market for £42.5m

The 52-bedroom London Elizabeth hotel near Lancaster Gate is on the market for offers of at least £42.5m.

The hotel was owned by Peter and Karen Newman under the company Rosiealfie, which went into liquidation when Frank Wessely and Chris Newell of Quantuma were appointed joint liquidators of the company in July.

Savills has been appointed to market the six-storey, 33,000 sq ft property, which has a 40-cover Rose Garden restaurant.

Alex Sturgess, director in the Savills hotels team, said: "The London Elizabeth hotel is an excellent opportunity for an investor to acquire a central London hotel that has a host of development options."
