London hotels boost revpar by 33%
London hotels boosted revenue per available room (revpar) by 33.3% in the week ending 20 August, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.
Revpar climbed to £94.34, up from £70.75 during the equivalent week last year, in the month that followed the bombings of the London transport system.
Occupancy increased by 17.2 percentage points to 82.5% and average room rate grew by 5.5% to £114.32, up from £108.38 in the corresponding week of 2005.
