London hotels nearly half full for Olympics
London hotels are currently nearly half full for the London 2012 Olympics, according the hotel market intelligence provider TravelClick.
With fewer than 200 days before the opening ceremony, committed occupancy for London hotels during the Games stands at 45.7%, which is up more than 300% on the same period in 2011. This mean that there is still plenty of availability for anyone planning to visit London throughout the event.
The busiest night during the two-week duration of the Olympic games for London hotels is that of the opening ceremony (27 July) with a 46.9% committed occupancy, a 443% rise on the same date in 2011. The average daily rate is up an average of 118.2% year-on-year over the 16-day period between the opening and closing ceremonies.
