The London Marriott West India Quay hotel is to relaunch its Curve seafood restaurant as a steakhouse later this year.
The five-star hotel in Canary Wharf will rebrand the restaurant as an American-themed steakhouse called Manhattan Grill, which will complement its existing Manhattan Bar.
The move comes after Grosvenor House, a JW Marriott Hotel, last year closed its Bord'eaux French brasserie and replaced it with the JW Steakhouse restaurant.
While the exact concept and design of the new venue are still being finalised, the opening date for the new restaurant has been set before the end of the year.
Gregg Brown, culinary director of Marriott UK, said the American-style restaurant concept has been incredibly popular across Marriott Hotels around the world.
"Existing steakhouses have been very well received, with demand very high among our guests, 60% of whom are American.
"The simplicity of the restaurant's concept allows Marriott to focus on great produce - prime English as well as USDA grain-fed beef, simply prepared and perfectly executed."
