London revpar grows by nearly 10%
London hotels boosted revenue per available room (revpar) by 9.9% in the week ending 14 January, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.
Revpar rose to £88.09, up from £80.12 during the equivalent week of 2006.
A 0.7 percentage point drop in occupancy to 72.6% was offset by an 11.1% rise in average room rate to £121.39, up from £109.31 in the corresponding week of 2006.
