Lucknam Park cookery school appoints Ben Taylor as head chef
The five-red-AA-star, 42-bedroom Lucknam Park hotel, near Bath, has appointed Ben Taylor as the new head chef of its cookery school.
Taylor, who joined Lucknam's one-Michelin-starred the Park restaurant in March 2010, was promoted to head chef of the hotel's Brasserie in 2013.
He is passionate about locally sourced ingredients and will be running a new course calendar from July to December, under the guidance of the hotel's executive chef Hywel Jones.
Courses range from cooking gastro to surviving as a student and there will also be a variety of seasonal and around the world courses.
A number of guest chefs will also run courses at the cookery school, which is located in a small house on the five-acre Lucknam Park estate and offers six cooking stations for up to 12 guests.
It is open from Tuesday to Saturday with courses starting from £75 per person for a half day and from £175 per person for a full day including lunch.
