Luxury corporate events venue to open in former Herefordshire pigsty
The owners of the Green Cow Kitchens in Whitbourne, Herefordshire, are investing £2.5m in transforming a former pigsty into a luxury corporate events venue with accommodation.
Husband and wife team Joe and Keeley Evans said that Crumplebury, located alongside the Green Cow Kitchens on the family's farm on the Whitbourne Estate, is set to open in October. It will feature a banqueting hall, lounge, bar, gallery, 11 bedrooms and a private cottage.
Consultant chef Pat McDonald, who has been advising Joe and Keeley Evans for the past four years, will create the menus for Crumplebury alongside the team from the Green Cow Kitchens. McDonald won a Michelin star for his restaurant Epicurean, which was based in several locations, including Pershore, Worcestershire. McDonald moved into consultancy following Epicurean's closure in 2002.
t of the ingredients that will be used at Crumplebury will come from the surrounding farm or nearby suppliers.
Joe said: "We pride ourselves on an exquisite menu at Green Cow Kitchens and this will continue at Crumplebury. Food is at the heart of our offering and we're looking forward to presenting fantastic dining to our corporate guests.
"While construction might be ongoing, we're well on course for our October opening and we're inviting the keen and the curious to come and find out more."
Crumplebury is now taking bookings for mid-October 2019 onwards.
Green Cow Kitchens was founded in 2012 by Joe and Keeley Evans in what was also a former pigsty.
