Luxury hotel management group ICMI moves into three-star market
ICMI Lodges & Inns will complement ICMI The Collection, which operates a eight-strong portfolio including Inverlochy Castle, Fort William, and Andy Murray's hotel Cromlix, Dunblane. It will use the group's centralised reservations system and enhanced buying power.
The 18-bedroom Inch hotel near Fort Augustus is the first hotel to come under the auspices of ICMI Lodges & Inns, alongside three private houses: the Factors Inn and Factors Cottage at Inverlochy, and the Colonel's Cottage at Greywalls, near Edinburgh.
Alan Clayton, a global inspirational speaker and leadership coach who owns the Inch, said that he believes ICMI is "the best hotel management operation" in the country.
"While Inch was successful under my leadership, I believe it will become even better for the customer, the local economy and the bottom line with ICMI," he explained.
Norbert Lieder, managing director of both companies, said that ICMI's strengths includes a track record of improving both the customer experience and financial margins at the hotels it operates.
"Our approach to staff training and focus on growing profitability works across the hotel industry, whatever the price point and position in the market," he said.
Lieder added that he is currently talking to a number of owners about additions to both The Collection and Lodges & Inns, and that he is particularly keen to gain a foothold in Aberdeen."
Launched in 2009, ICMI employs the services of Albert Roux as its culinary consultant.
