Macdonald Berystede hotel and spa, near Ascot, has new management team
The four-star Macdonald Berystede hotel and spa, near Ascot, has a new management team in place following three new appointments.
New general manager Fiona King (pictured left) returns to the Macdonald group following a two-year gap when she worked as regional general manager for Mercure, overseeing five hotels in the South-west. She has held previous general manager roles at several Macdonald properties including the Castle hotel, Windsor, and the Queen's hotel, Cheltenham.
Jo Bennett (right) joins as sales manager after four years in the same role at Principal Hayley hotel and conference centres, Windsor. She has also held various roles at the Marriott Breadsall Priory hotel and country club, Derbyshire.
Head Chef John Machin (centre) has moved to the Berystede from the Macdonald Frimley Hall hotel and spa, near Camberley, where he worked with a team of 10 responsible for the hotel's two AA rosette fine-dining restaurant and catering for events in the conference and banqueting suites. He has plans to increase the hotel's restaurant rating from one to two rosettes.
