Macdonald buys in Scotland

Owners Tom and Emma Hill have sold the Golf Hotel, in North Berwick, through agent Colliers Robert Barry.

Tom and Emma are to concentrate on developing a self-catering business.

The purchaser of the Golf Hotel is Macdonald Hotels.

The selling price was not disclosed but offers over £750,000 were invited.

Alex McGrehan of Colliers Robert Barry said: "There was strong interest in the hotel from both corporate and private sources resulting in a very satisfactory sale."
