Macdonald Hotels & Resorts takes over management of Solberge Hall hotel
Macdonald Hotels & Resorts has taken over the management of the 24-bedroom Solberge Hall hotel in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, with immediate effect.
The Grade II-listed property will join the 45 other hotels owned and managed within the Macdonald portfolio in the UK and Europe.
While the hotel will benefit from the distribution, revenue and sales and marketing support of the company, there are no plans to incorporate the Macdonald name into Solberge Hall.
David Guile, chief executive of Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, described Solberge Hall hotel as "a stunning Georgian mansion" located between the Dales and the Vale of York,
"The hotel has much to offer and we are looking forward to building on its successful operation with a key focus on working with local business and implementing the distribution reach and sales told we can offer," he said.
Macdonald Hotels & Resorts was named AA Hotel Group of the Year 2013/14 for the second time in five years, last month.
