Mandarin Oriental names two general managers for Hong Kong and Macau

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has appointed Michael Ziemer as general manager of the Excelsior hotel in Hong Kong and Bede Barry as general manager of the Grand Lapa hotel in Macau.

Ziemer has more than 24 years' experience in the hospitality industry. He started working for Mandarin Oriental in 2003 as resident manager of Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong before being appointed general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Munich in 2004 and then general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Macau in 2007.

Barry (shown below) has 17 years of international hotel management experience, mostly with the Hyatt Corporation. He joined the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in 2007 as resident manager of Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong.
