Marriott to end management of Renaissance London Chancery Court
Marriott International is to end its management of the five-star, 356-bedroom Renaissance London Chancery Court hotel.
The hotel operator has announced that as a result of "an amicable and mutual decision" its management agreement with the property's owner, New World Hotel Management, will come to an end on 11 June 2011.
"Both parties are working together to ensure a seamless transition," said a Marriott spokesperson. "This action is specific to this one hotel and while Marriott will be departing this property, it remains committed to London as a great destination for business and leisure travelers."
Marriott has managed the hotel under the Renaissance brand since the property opened in 2000. The company has recently opened its second Renaissance hotel in London - the St Pancras Renaissance London - and has more than 20 hotels in the capital.
Thesesa Maw, who has been general manager at the Renaissance London Chancery Court since 2006, is to remain with Marriott and is presently talking with the company regarding her future role.
