Matthew Rushton joins Casa as head chef

Matthew Rushton has joined Casa, a new £20m hotel development in Chesterfield as head chef. Chesterfield-born Rushton started his career as a commis chef at the five-star St Pierre Park Hotel in Guernsey before working alongside Gordon Ramsay at his Royal Hospital Road restaurant in Chelsea.

He then went on to gain two AA rosettes as the head chef at the Peacock hotel in Derbyshire, which was also named Restaurant of the Year in the Which Guide during his employment. Most recently, he was head chef for three years at the White Horse in Woolley Moor, Derbyshire.
