May Fair hotel applies to double its restaurant capacity
The May Fair hotel in London has applied for permission to increase the covers of its May Fair Kitchen restaurant, private dining room and terrace.
The Edwardian Hotels London property on Stratton Street has submitted an application to Westminster council to double its capacity across the three areas due to the success and popularity of the restaurant so far.
The restaurant looks to increase its seating from 99 to 150 seats, with an additional 140 seats across the dining room and terrace. Internal design changes in all three areas have made the capacity increase possible.
Amir Jati, director of service excellence at Edwardian Hotels London, said: "We have recently refurbished May Fair Kitchen to great reviews. The new design has given us significantly more space inside, and combined with the small plate menu which allows service to be more nimble, we wish to increase capacity so we can welcome more people to our kitchen to enjoy our offering."
The last date for representations to be received by the licensing authority is 15 July.
