Michael O'Hare reveals names for three new Manchester restaurants

Chef Michael O'Hare has revealed the names of the three restaurants he is set to open in Manchester with former footballers and hoteliers Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs.

O'Hare, who runs the Michelin-starred The Man Behind The Curtain in Leeds, is developing a trio of Manchester restaurants called The Man Who Fell To Earth, Are Friends Electric, and The Rabbit In The Moon with Neville and Giggs.

The Rabbit In The Moon, run by head chef Luke Cokerill, will be a relaxed restaurant named after an Asian fable and offering "space-age Asian" food comprising 17 courses in a fast-paced tasting menu at the National Football Museum, according to http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/food-drink-news/michael-ohare-manchester-restaurant-opening-12164966" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">The Manchester Evening News.

Meanwhile, the other two restaurants will be located in the Stock Exchange on Norfolk Street in the city, where Giggs and Neville will open their second Manchester hotel.

The Man Who Fell To Earth will be more formal, with an à la carte menu in a Parisian ballroom-style restaurant. The more relaxed Are Friends Electric will be a rooftop restaurant where diners can sit at the pass and plate up dishes.

Built in 1906, the Edwardian Baroque-style Stock Exchange is believed to have been acquired by Neville and Giggs two years ago for £1.5m.

The former Manchester United teammates opened the 133-bedroom Hotel Football last year, and also run two Café Football venues - one in Westfield Stratford in London and another within Hotel Football.
