Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire to make US debut
Three-star Michelin chef Pierre Gagnaire is opening his first U.S. restaurant at the new Mandarin Oriental in Las Vegas this December.
The hotel's signature restaurant, Twist by Pierre Gagnaire, will be on the 23rd floor of the hotel and will feature a dramatic, glass staircase leading up to a suspended wine loft. The 74-seater room will be illuminated by over 300 golden globes, designed so they appear to float in the air. Elevated tables and floor-to-ceiling windows enable every guest a birds-eye-view of the Las Vegas Strip.
A new bar, Bar Mandarin will also be installed on the 23rd floor with large windows allow visitors to overlook the spectacular Vegas skyline from the 82-seat venue.
The Mandarin Oriental will continue to offer its other dining options including Mozen Bistro, an all-day contemporary Asian kitchen theatre with a sushi and noodle bar and rotisserie as well as a 30-seat tea lounge, a poolside café and the street-level Amore patisserie.
Pierre Gagnaire has gained high acclaim and respect over his 35 years in the industry. He won three Michelin stars in St Etienne at the beginning of his career, and now has restaurants in Paris, London, Tokyo, Seoul, Dubai and his namesake venue, Pierre, at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong.
