Michelle Wells appointed GM of London's Park Plaza County Hall

Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts has appointed Michelle Well as general manager of London's four-star, 398-bedroom Park Plaza County Hall hotel.

She joins the hotel from sister property, the 119-bedroom Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes, where she has been general manager since 2007.

Well's appointment follows her recent success in completing the General Managers Programme in strategic management at Cornell University in the United States.

She said she is now looking forward "to taking in the new challenge of managing a larger hotel with greater responsibility" where she will oversee revenue generation, cost efficiency and all operational workings of the property.

Greg Hegarty, regional general manager, Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts, said: "When considering candidates for this role, Michelle was a natural choice given her proven success at Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes and her obvious passion for the industry."

Park Plaza County Hall is located on the South Bank, close to Waterloo Station.
