Nadler Hotels appoints Charles Prew as chairman
Prew takes on the role following the retirement from the Nadler board of directors of Rupert Clarke.
During an extensive career in the hospitality industry - during which he has operated at director level for 30 years, including 14 years at senior board level - Prew has worked at Grand Metropolitan Hotels, Ladbroke Hotels, Hilton International, Jarvis Hotels.
He was appointed chief executive of Paramount Hotels when Dawnay Shore acquired the chain in 2004 and remained in the role when Spain hotel group Barcelo signed a lease to operate the properties.
Prew later acted as chief executive on behalf of Ernst & Young, the administrators for Von Essen Hotels, and is currently managing director - hotels for consultancy company the Buell Group.
Robert Nadler, chief executive of Nadler Hotels, said: "Charles joins Nadler Hotels at an exciting point in its development, with our fourth hotel under construction in central London and further hotels under consideration.
"His role will be to guide and accelerate the group's expansion as a hotel operating company, as it looks to take on leases and management contracts while continuing to seek further acquisitions for its own hotel developments."
Prew is a fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, a trustee of People 1st and has received an honorary professorship from the University of West London.
Nadler Hotels operates two properties in London, in Soho and Kensington, and one in Liverpool.
