New Base2Stay Liverpool hotel offers £1 rooms to Facebook fans
Facebook users are being offered ‘mate-rates' hotel rooms for just £1 at the multi-million pound hotel Base2stay hotel opening in Liverpool](http://www.base2stayliverpool.com/hotel-overview.html) next month.
The budget hotel is asking members of its fan page on the popular online social network to update their status with ‘I love base2stay'. The first 50 to do so in July will get a room for one night at the discounted rate of £1.
The hotel in Liverpool, which is set to open on 1 August, is the second for the group after its flagship venturelaunched in London's Kensington in 2006.
Robert Nadler, chief executive of base2stay, said: "We want base2stay to act as a friendly guide for hotel guests when they visit the city, so the Facebook group will also offer tips on the best places to eat, drink and be seen. And, like any good friend, we wanted to give our Facebook fans special ‘mates' rates' too."
The Liverpool hotel, like its Kensington predecessor, features rooms each equipped with a mini-kitchen, and has no bar or dining facilities on site and guests are offered exclusive discounts at nearby restaurants, bars and cultural venues.
