New general manager appointments at The Gidleigh Collection

Andrew Foulkes is to move to the Bath Priory as general manager after spending 18 months in the same role at Gidleigh Park, in Chagford, Devon.

Meanwhile, Damien Bastiat will be promoted into the vacancy left by Foulkes from his role as operations manager at Gidleigh Park.

And Simon Franks, currently general manager at the Bath Priory, will return to Buckland Manor, near Broadway, Worcestershire, where he was previously assistant manager.

Nick Halliday, chief executive of Brownsword Hotels said the appointments are part of the continued evolution of the company.

"We are working to ensure The Gidleigh Collection is synonymous with a luxury country house experience offering great food and wine, and superb service, and want guests to feel safe in the knowledge that when staying at a Gidleigh Collection property they can expect the very best.

"These appointments are instrumental in ensuring our aspirations are upheld and we look forward to the successes the new appointments will bring to the group."
