New general manager for Edinburgh's Glasshouse hotel
The 65-bedroom Glasshouse hotel in Edinburgh has appointed Federico Ciampi as general manage, four months after the property was re-launched under Marriott International's Autograph Collection.
Originally from Turin in Italy, Ciampi, 28, moved to London in 2005 and started his career as a front of house manager at the Thistle Euston, before moving on to became front office manager at H10 London. He was appointed assistant general manager role at the 49-bedroom Academy in London in 2011 and six months later was promoted to general manager.
Ciampi said: "With The Glasshouse now part of the Autograph Collection, it's an exciting time for both the hotel and me to move into this position and build on the hotel's excellent reputation.
"The Glasshouse is a unique property which has impressed its guests for a decade so I am looking forward to working with a great team to showcase everything it has to offer and continue to provide an unrivalled service in all aspects and departments of the hotel."
The 10-year has recently undergone a £3m refurbishment to transform its bedrooms and public spaces, including the Snug lounge and bar, The Observatory, and roof top garden.
