New hotel at Newcastle Airport to be branded DoubleTree by Hilton
The 179-bedroom hotel at Newcastle International Airport - just purchased by the Cairn Hotel Group - is to be operated under a franchise agreement as a DoubleTree by Hilton property.
Due to open in the autumn, the hotel will be the ninth DoubleTree by Hilton, the upscale hotel brand from Hilton Worldwide, to be launched in the UK. The recently opened DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul Moda become the brand's 250th hotel in the world.
Rob Palleschi, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton, said that the hotel's guests would benefit from the characteristic qualities found at the brand's properties, including the welcoming chocolate chip cookie presented to every guest at check-in.
"We are delighted to continue expanding our UK presence into North-east England by creating a rewarding experience with our warm and welcoming style of hospitality at the soon-to-be DoubleTree by Hilton Newcastle International Airport," he added.
With the opening of the hotel at Newcastle International Airport, Hilton Worldwide will have properties at nine international and regional airports across the UK and Ireland.
