New owner for Ermington hotel and restaurant

The Plantation House hotel and Matisse restaurant in the Devon village of Ermington, has been sold for close to the £750,000 asking price.

The townhouse-style hotel in the South Hams area of Devon has 10 bedrooms and a 45-seat restaurant, along with a trade terrace, gardens, paddock and owners' apartment.

The new owners are Richard and Magdalena Hendey. Richard, a restaurateur and self-taught chef, intends to revamp the menus and upgrade the letting bedrooms.

The sale was handled by the Plymouth office of Colliers Robert Barry on behalf of the sellers, Alan and Helen Corby.
