New owners for Cumbrian B&B

John and Mary Geary from Manchester are the new owners of the Bongate House B&B in Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria.

The farmhouse-style Georgian property, which was built around 1760, offers eight bedrooms, a dining room, a residents' lounge and a one-acre garden with views of the River Eden and Appleby Castle.

The Manchester office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the property off an asking price of £575,000 on behalf of Malcolm and Anne Dayson, who are retiring after 21 years.
